I am the Vice President of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), a global money laundering and terrorist financing watchdog that’s based in Paris, France. I am also the Director General in Mexico’s Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.
The FATF sets international standards and promotes effective implementation of legal, regulatory and operational measures for combating money laundering, terrorist financing and other related threats to the integrity of the international financial system.
My brief keynote and the following Q&A session will focus on FATF guidance on cryptocurrency regulations, with particular reference to stablecoins, peer-to-peer transactions, NFTs and DeFi.
