Prof Abbott is the author of The Reasonable Robot: Artificial Intelligence and the Law. He will give you a firsthand account of what it’s being like to try and win recognition for AI machines as inventors and the implications for intellectual property.

Presentation: TBA

My book

The Reasonable Robot: Artificial Intelligence and the Law is the title of my new book. I argue, in this book, that the law should not discriminate between people and AI when they are performing the same tasks, a legal standard that will help to eliminate market distortions and to ensure that decisions are made on the basis of efficiency.

If you have any interest in the rapidly evolving relationship between AI and the law, this book is recommended for you. You may read more about it here.
